Charles Hobby Pond (April 26, 1781, Milford, Connecticut – April 28, 1861) was an American politician who was Lieutenant Governor of Connecticut (1850-53) and who served as the 37th Governor for seven months (1853-54) after the resignation of Governor Thomas Hart Seymour.
Pond graduated from Yale University in 1802. He was a judge of the New Haven County Court from 1816-87, sheriff of New Haven from 1820-34, and then again a County Court judge from 1836-37. He became Lieutenant Governor in 1850 and succeeded to the governorship in 1853. He did not seek re-election. Pond died in 1861 and is buried in Milford Cemetery. He is memorialized on the Milford Founding Fathers Memorial in Milford.
