Plot details
The heroine of the film, Mallamma (acted by B Sarojadevi) is married to a dullard by her parents. While in her in-laws house, Mallamma realises that her husband has been made a dullard due to his scheming stepmother, who wants to appropriate the vast property. She educates her husband and frees him from the clutches of his mother and makes him realise the value of life. This Movie was remade in Tamil by Bhagyaraj as Enga Chinna Rasa and then was remade in Hindi by Indrakumar as Beta in which Madhuri Dixit acted in the role of B.Sarojadevi and Anil Kapoor acted in the role of Dr. Rajkumar.
