Storrie is a census-designated place (CDP) in Plumas County, California and about 20 miles northeast of Lake Oroville. As of the 2000 census, the CDP had a total population of 5. According to the United States Census Bureau, it is one of only 8 places in the United States with a population of five people. The others are Bear Head Lake, Minnesota, Baker, Missouri, Gross, Nebraska, Odell, New Hampshire, Maza, North Dakota, Somerset, Vermont, and Prudhoe Bay, Alaska.

Geography

According to the United States Census Bureau, the CDP has a total area of 0.1 square miles (0.2 km²).None of the area is covered with water.

Demographics

As of the censusGR|2 of 2000, there were 5 people, 3 households, and 2 families residing in the CDP. The population density was 57.1 people per square mile (21.5/km²). There were 10 housing units at an average density of 114.2/sq mi (42.9/km²). The racial makeup of the CDP was 100.00% White.

There were 3 households out of which none had children under the age of 18 living with them, 66.7% were married couples living together, none had a female householder with no husband present, and 33.3% were non-families. Individuals make up 33.3% of all households, and none had someone living alone who is 65 years of age or older. The average household size was 1.67 and the average family size was 2.00.

In the CDP the entire population was spread out from 45 to 64, with a median age of 55 years. For every 2 females there were 3 males.

Politics

In the state legislature Storrie is located in the 1st Senate District, represented by Republican Dave Cox, and in the 3rd Assembly District, represented by Republican Rick Keene.
