Dillon International - non-profit agency of christian origin, providing humanitarian aid and assistance in international adoption. Established in 1972 and based in Oklahoma, USA. It is considered one of the oldest adoption agencies.
By declaration of its founders, Dillon International was founded on the belief in the Great Commission of Jesus Christ. It is their belief, that every child deserves the love and care of a family. They seek Jesus's direction in serving vulnerable children around the world and try to serve these children and their families as Jesus Christ would serve them.[1]
The agency facilitates adoptions in South Korea, India, China, Hong Kong, Ethiopia, Russia, Honduras, Ghana, Nepal and Haiti. Dillon also provides humanitarian aid in these countries as well as Vietnam, Kenya and Guatemala.
The annual budget for Vietnam constituted 160,900 USD in 2004 and 161,400 USD in 2005 - 2006.
Mission Statement
Dillon International, Inc., is committed to providing the best possible lifetime of care for homeless children in developing countries. Every effort is made for children to remain with their original family or to be placed for adoption within their country of birth. When these options are not possible, children are placed with families in the United States and on-going, post-adoptive support is provided for the life of each child. Dillon International, Inc., is also committed to assisting with foster and orphanage care as well as with educational, medical and therapeutic services for the homeless children remaining in other countries who may never be adopted.
