Route description
NC 37 is a north-south highway. Its southern terminus is east of Edenton. Going north, the highway first hits U.S. 17. The two highways merge until the town of Windfall. Then NC 37 heads northwest until Gatesville. Just north of Gatesville, the highway briefly merges with U.S. 158, before splitting off. Its northern terminus is U.S. 13 just south of the Virginia border.
