Overview
The album sold over 8,000 copies with little to no advertising or exposure.[2]
The album features samples from various films throughout; "Intro" features a sample from the film Donnie Darko, "1958" features a sample from the film The Boondock Saints and "Sound The Alarm" features audio from Shaun of the Dead. The song "1958" was written about drummer Brandon Roberts who left the band prior to being signed to Indianola Records.[citation needed] The numbers "1958" were the last four digits of his cell phone number. It is the only album that drummer Bobby Scruggs played on.
A re-release entitled Old Record was released in 2008 through Victory Records. It's only a remastered version of the original with different cover art and a rearranged track listing[3] and slightly rearranged parts.
