It is located in the Capitale-Nationale (Quebec) region and includes the municipalities of La Malbaie, Saint-Siméon, Baie-Saint-Paul and Baie-Sainte-Catherine. The riding existed from 1867 to 1907 before being re-created in 1948. From 1908 to 1948 it was part of Charlevoix-Saguenay
