Laviolette is a provincial electoral riding in the province of
Quebec ,Canada . Located in theMauricie region, it was created in 1931. It includes the entire La Tuque area as well as the municipalities of Hérouxville and Saint-Tite and some portions of the city of Shawinigan.The riding was named after the founder of Trois-Rivières in 1634,
Nicolas Goupil de Laviolette .Members of the Legislative Assembly (1931-1968) and the National Assembly of Quebec (since 1968)
