Saint-Tite is a town in Quebec province, Canada, north of Trois-Rivières; its name is the French name for St. Titus. Its chief industries are forestry and leather production. It is best known, though, for the Festival Western de Saint-Tite, which developed from a rodeo inaugurated in 1967 to promote the leather industry. The festival's success has led to the remodelling of some of the town's infrastructures to resemble a western frontier town of the late nineteenth or early twentieth centuries. Saint-Tite is an important part of the novel Les Filles de Caleb.
