Turks in Japan ( _ja. 在日トルコ人) refer to Japanese citizens who also hold citizenship of Turkey. At the start of the twentieth century, groups of Volga Tatars immigrated from Kazan, Russia, to Japan. Most of these groups preserved their culture and language as they were not dispersed. During 1950's, they gained Turkish citizenship.
