History
M-135 was designated a state trunkline in 1928. The route remained largely unchanged up until its removal from the state trunkline system in 1960. The road served as a connector between US 2 and M-28 while serving the small communities of Curtis and Helmer. Presently, the road retains the designation H-33, and is also known as Manistique Lakes Road.
