Industry
Basically, as an industrial city was established. The village is dominated by light industry. The four major industrial plants located in Martfű:
- Tisza Shoe Factory: 1941-42 was established in the Czech Bata company called Cikta Shoe Factory. The decades of the Kádár era Tisza Cipő as the country's largest shoemaker developed.
- Brewery: 1985, built by the surrounding businesses.
- Vegetable Oil Factory: built between 1976-80. Primarily grown in the Great Plains sunflower, canola and soybean processing is carried out.
- Tisza Ipartelep plants: various industrial plants in the industrial and service center.[2]
