National Association of Arab-Americans

National Association of Arab Americans, founded in 1972, was a political advocacy group for Arab-Americans residing in the United States. Its goals were "to strengthen U.S. relations with Arab countries and to promote an evenhanded American policy based on justice and peace for all parties in the Middle East." It opposed military occupation of Palestine, Lebanon and the Golan Heights and was involved in Arab-Israeli conflict issues, including Jerusalem, Middle East peace negotiations and regional security, as well as issues of democracy and human rights, the reconstruction of Lebanon and U.S. foreign aid. It was opposed to all violations of human rights, including in the Arab world On January 1, 2002 the NAAA merged with the American-Arab Anti-Discrimination Committee.[1][2]
