Interstates • U.S. Routes • State Routes← SR 800 SR 814 → State Route 807 (SR 807, OH 807) is a 0.42-mile (0.68 km) long north–south state highway in the southeastern portion of the U.S. state of Ohio. The route serves as the Ohio connection between the Hi Carpenter Memorial Bridge and SR 7 approximately 14 miles (23 km) east of Marietta near the census-designated place of Newport.
The entire length of the route is U-shaped, which leads to a peculiarity in how its directions are signed. The Ohio Department of Transportation (ODOT) considers the northern end of the route to be at the West Virginia state line on the Hi Carpenter Memorial Bridge, where the route continues as unsigned West Virginia Route 807 (WV 807). The signed southern end of the route at a T-intersection with SR 7 is actually just north of the other terminus.

Route description
All of SR 807 exists within Newport Township in the southeastern portion of Washington County. This very short highway begins at a T-intersection with SR 7 just to the east of the census-designated place of Newport, located between Marietta and New Matamoras. SR 807 departs the intersection to the northwest, traveling uphill as it follows a U-curve that bends it to the west and then back around to the southeast, where it enters the Hi Carpenter Memorial Bridge. The bridge takes passes over SR 7 and then the Ohio River. At a point over the river, SR 807 meets the West Virginia state line. There, the route comes to an end, and becomes unsigned WV 807, which carries the remaining length of the bridge and comes to an end at a signalized intersection with WV 2 a very short distance from the southeastern approach to the bridge.[2]
History
SR 807 was established in 1977 with the completion of the current Hi Carpenter Memorial Bridge.[1] This bridge replaced a 1928 eyebar suspension bridge that was closed immediately following the collapse of the similarly-designed Silver Bridge in 1967.
Major intersections
The entire route is in Newport Township, Washington County.
