List of minor characters on South Park

The following is a list of minor characters on "South Park". This does not include the school children, family members, townsfolk, or the school staff.

Bradley

Bradley was Butters' roommate at a gay conversion camp in "Cartman Sucks". Bradley has a tendency to nervously bite his nails, and recite psalms from the Bible. He eventually developed a crush on Butters, and when he realized this, felt that he was beyond hope, and contemplated suicide, before Butters convinced him that he was perfectly normal the way he was, and that the "confusion" attributed to him and Butters by the camp staff were simply a projection of the camp staff's own shortcomings. Bradley then decided to accept himself for who he was.

Chris Peterson

Chris Peterson is a character recognizable by his unusual haircut. He appears briefly in the episode "Spontaneous Combustion" when Kenny explodes at the start of the episode. His name is revealed in "Chef Goes Nanners" when Jimbo Kern is describing why the South Park flag shouldn't be changed, he and Ned take shots at various local wildlife, culminating in shooting at Chris Peterson. He was also shown on Kyle's dad's car, in the episode "Over Logging".

Darryl Weathers

Darryl Weathers is a worker from the Construction Workers' Union. He has a flock of red hair and a big red mustache. His first appearance is in "Goobacks" where he is hosting a rally of many working-class men upset over losing their jobs to the Goobacks, time travelers from the future, who work for next to nothing. He and the other men decide to all "get gay" with one another, having homosexual sex in the hopes that this will prevent future generations of children that will give rise to the Goobacks. His next appearance is a one liner in "Smug Alert!" where he appears in the background, getting angry at Kyle's dad for putting a fake ticket on his car.

Farmer Carl Denkins

Farmer Carl Denkins (voiced by Matt Stone) is a redneck farmer who lives just outside of South Park. He originally appeared in the pilot episode, reporting his mutilated cattle to Officer Barbrady. He also appeared in "Cartman Gets an Anal Probe", which was a revisiting of that episode. One of his chickens was sexually molested by the "Chickenlover" in the episode of the same name. Apparently he has a record of shooting trespassers on sight, which Cartman uses to get Scott Tenorman's parents killed in "Scott Tenorman Must Die". He also played a prominent role in "Fun with Veal" (although he was referred to as Rancher Bob in this appearance).

Fluffy

Fluffy is Eric Cartman's potbellied pig. She makes only two appearances. In the first season episode "An Elephant Makes Love to a Pig", she is a hapless element of the children's school genetics project, and in the fourth season "Cherokee Hair Tampons", she is startled awake by Stan and Kyle when they sneak into Cartman's house, and begins squealing, but is subsequently yelled back into silence by a semi-awake Cartman, who never notices the other boys.

God

God (voiced by Trey Parker) is portrayed on "South Park" as a composite of several animals. His first appearance was in "Are You There God? It's Me, Jesus". He can be summoned in Heaven when his name is spoken, and sometimes on Earth, where he appears as beams of light with a deep voice. God is a Buddhist, although only people of the Mormon faith are allowed in Heaven. As the population of Heaven began to dwindle, and the population of Hell rose, as told in "Best Friends Forever", God started to allow others into Heaven. This was an attempt to build up Heaven's army to protect God's Kingdom from the increasingly larger Army of Satan. It is said that the PlayStation Portable was created by God to help find the human who could lead his army, which turned out to be Kenny. Every 2000 years, he comes to Earth to answer one question. He is included as a figure with the "South Park" series 3 Jesus action figure by Mezco.

Halfy

Halfy (pronounced Half-ee) is an amputee (he has no legs, hence his nickname), who first appeared in the episode "Cartman's Mom is a Dirty Slut". In his early appearances, he would claim that he would have sex with various things/people, only to be told, "You don't count Halfy; you don't have any legs", to which he would reply, "Oh. Yeah." When he is happy, he jumps into the air and somersaults. In the episode "Chef Aid" it is revealed that Halfy is a judge, as he presided over Chef's trial. Halfy was spotted at the starting line of the South Park "Running of the Cows" in the episode "Cow Days." He is also sung to by Big Gay Al during his big musical number in "". He appears in the episode "I'm a Little Bit Country", singing, 'I'm a little bit country, I'm a little bit rock and roll'."

Loogie

[
Loogie in "The Tooth Fairy Tats 2000".] Loogie made his first appearance in "The Tooth Fairy Tats 2000". The boys try to make money by snatching Tooth Fairy money underneath other boys' pillows, when they encounter another set of boys trying to do the same thing. These rivals bring the boys back to Loogie, whereupon they learn that the Tooth Fairy business is actually a crime syndicate, with Loogie being portrayed as a youth Mafia kingpin. He wears a zoot suit and his headquarters is a basement Italian restaurant. Instead of merely dressing up like the Tooth Fairy and procuring the money, he has an entire assembly line of employees who procure the teeth and inspect them for quality. When the boys attempt to break off into their own independent syndicate, Loogie intervenes and targets Kenny to teach them a lesson (which is a spoof on common Mafia practices). He is voiced primarily by Richard Belzer, although the final recordings were performed by Trey Parker. [On the DVD Commentary, Parker and Stone mention that this was because Belzer could not be at the recording studio at 4am.] He made another cameo appearance in "Professor Chaos", where he was one of twenty candidates to replace the then-deceased Kenny in the boys' group. He survived the first round to become a semi-finalist, but was one of four boys cut in the second round. In this episode, when his name was called out to advance to the next round, he was referred to as "Luigi".

ManBearPig

ManBearPig is an imaginary South Park character, believed by Al Gore to be a real threat in the episode also called "ManBearPig".The creature is described by Al Gore to be half man, half bear and half pig. ManBearPig is thought to be an invention of Al Gore's, which he uses to call the attention in an attempt to compensate for the fact that he has no friends. At the end of the episode, MBP, as it comes to be called, is thought to have been defeated by Gore, but it makes an appearance in "Imaginationland Episode II" and "Imaginationland Episode III", in which a mystical realm is discovered in which imaginary characters can come to life.

Moses

Moses, the Jewish prophet, appears in "Jewbilee" as the focus of a ritual in which Jews make macaroni pictures, popcorn necklaces and soap carvings at a Jewish scout camp. His appearance is patterned after the Master Control Program from the movie "Tron". The episodes antisemitic antagonist, Garth, captures him in a conch shell before calling upon the Biblical character Haman. Kenny McCormick, who had been banished from the camp by Moses for not being Jewish, saves the camp by breaking the conch shell open with his head. Moses also appears in the episode "Super Best Friends", in which he acts as the computer at the Super Best Friends headquarters, and demonstrates the ability to play a tape by having it inserted through a port in his front.

Mr. Kitty

Mr. Kitty (voiced by comedian Jay Leno in "Cartman's Mom Is a Dirty Slut" and by Trey Parker in all other appearancesFact|date=July 2008), is a grey housecat owned by Eric Cartman and his mother, prone to showing interest in Cartman's food, to which Cartman usually responds, "No, Mr. Kitty, that's mine! That's a bad kitty!" Her first appearance was in "Cartman Gets an Anal Probe". Cartman often refers to the cat as "Mr." Kitty despite the fact that the cat is female. In the episode "Spookyfish", a kindhearted and generous Cartman from a parallel universe arrives and is friendly to Kitty, much to our universe's Cartman's irritation. Kitty's most prominent role was in the season three episode "Cat Orgy". Since "Cat Orgy", Mr. Kitty has been seen infrequently, though she was mentioned in "The Death of Eric Cartman" as being part of the list of people Cartman needed to apologize to in order to reach Heaven, when he believed he was dead. She shows up again in the season 12 episode, "Major Boobage", as the boys use her to "cheese." However, in this episode, she was seen as a male cat, because according to the episode, one could only "cheese" from male cats.

Nellie and Thomas McElroy

Nellie and Thomas McElroy are the parents of Chef. They first appear in the episode "The Succubus", when they come to South Park for Chef's wedding. They appear later in the episode "The Biggest Douche in the Universe" when Chef takes Cartman and his mother to his parents' manor house in Scotland. They perform a shaman-esque ritual to exorcize Kenny's soul from Cartman's body. In "Red Sleigh Down", they are seen in a crowd during the town's Christmas celebration. Interestingly, they are not seen at Chef's funeral in "The Return of Chef".

The McElroys' main subject of conversation is their supposed encounters with the Loch Ness Monster. They repeatedly claim that they have seen him on multiple occasions, and are constantly harassed by him, as he tries to swindle them out of "tree-fiddy" ($3.50). According to Thomas, the monster has pretended to be a girl scout, an alien, and Chef's imaginary friend from childhood.

anta

Santa Claus (voiced by Trey Parker) lives at the North Pole in his Fortress of Solitude, aided two months out of the year by the Underpants Gnomes. Santa is often shown with "South Park's" other Christmas-related characters, Mr. Hankey and Jesus. His relationship with the latter has been rocky. In the animated short, "The Spirit of Christmas", Jesus and Santa had a fight to determine what the true meaning of Christmas was - giving or Jesus' birth. With some advice from Brian Boitano, the boys told Jesus that Santa keeps the spirit of Christmas alive, and then told Santa that if it wasn't for Jesus there would be no Christmas at all. The two reconciled, though they would later fight again in "Mr. Hankey's Christmas Classics", when Santa felt gypped that there are more Jesus-related Christmas songs than ones about him. Nevertheless they made up again, and Jesus later lost his life to save Santa from Iraqis in "Red Sleigh Down." Earning Jesus's respect, Santa declares that in every Christmas, everyone should remember Jesus.

Santa is known for not being afraid to get violent to protect the true meaning of Christmas. In "Red Sleigh Down" he was captured by Iraqis and had to shoot his way free, in "Woodland Critter Christmas" his skill with a shotgun and sledgehammer saved Christmas from the Anti-Christ, and in "Imaginationland Episode III" he was seen sporting a golden axe to fight off the army of evil imginary creatures after being revived by Butters (who use his imagination, due to the fact the Santa had died in flames during the terrorist attack).

cott the Dick

Scott's first appearance was in "Terrance and Phillip in Not Without My Anus", where he was shown to be the nemesis of Terrance and Phillip. He has also appeared in the "real world" of South Park in "It's Christmas in Canada". Scott lives in Canada where he is a television critic for magazines and is known by most Canadians as being obnoxious, as evidenced by his nickname "Scott the Dick". He is uptight and short-tempered, especially with Terrance and Phillip's toilet humor and almost all Canadians. Scott also expresses contempt for Americans throughout "It's Christmas in Canada", calling them "power-hungry" and claiming that Americans think they own the world.

Scott has been made Saddam Hussein's advisor twice, first in "Terrance and Phillip in Not Without My Anus" and then to the new Prime Minister of Canada in "It's Christmas in Canada", who turned out to be Saddam Hussein in disguise.

cuzzlebutt

Scuzzlebutt is a basket-weaving monster who lives on top of a mountain in South Park. He has a piece of celery as an arm and Patrick Duffy as a leg. He appears in two episodes: "Volcano" and "City on the Edge of Forever". In "Volcano" Cartman tells the story of Scuzzlebutt to scare his friends. Then Cartman dresses up like Scuzzlebutt. However, when a volcano erupts the real Scuzzlebutt weaves a wicker basket that saves the children. Shortly after, Stan kills Scuzzlebutt to prove to his uncle Jimbo that he is a good nephew. In season ten's "Stanley's Cup" a newspaper headline reading "What is Scuzzlebutt??" is visible behind Stan's boss at the beginning of the show.

kyler

Skyler is a 22-year-old member of the band "Lords of the Underworld" (briefly "Timmy and the Lords of the Underworld") and has been seen on two occasions.

In his first appearance, "Cat Orgy", Skyler is seen as 12-year-old Shelley Marsh's boyfriend, whom she invites to Cartman's house while she babysits Eric Cartman. Because Shelly refused to consumate their relationship sexually, Skyler broke up with her. Cartman helped her get revenge by destroying his guitar. When he angrily returned to Cartman's house while Shelley was still there, Cartman threw catnip at him, attracting neighborhood felines, who promptly attacked him in a sexual frenzy.

Skyler was not seen again until "Timmy 2000", in which his band added Timmy to their ranks, because he turned out to be a great singer, despite only being able to shout his name. Jealous of Timmy's popularity, Skyler left the band to pursue a solo career entitled "Reach for the Skyler". He later rejoined the band though, and they performed at the South Park Battle of the Bands.

Skyler and his band also appear in "Christian Rock Hard" as one of the bands who refuse to play due to the illegal downloading of music.

parky the Dog

Sparky (voiced by George Clooney) [ [http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0000123/ George Clooney at the] Internet Movie Database] is Stan's dog. He first appeared in "Big Gay Al's Big Gay Boat Ride" in which it was revealed that he is gay. Stan was very upset that Sparky was gay, provoking Sparky to run away to "Big Gay Al's Big Gay Animal Sanctuary", where he would live with other gay animals. He, along with all of the other animals, returned to their owners after the people of South Park learned to become more accepting of their sexuality.

He has been seen in "Proper Condom Use", and "Good Times With Weapons", in which his fur was used to disguise Butters as a dog. Sparky also makes a cameo in "Woodland Critter Christmas", and was briefly seen in the episode "Spookyfish". He is included as a figure with the "South Park" series 2 Stan action figure by Mezco.

tarvin' Marvin

Starvin' Marvin (voiced by Trey Parker) is an emaciated Ethiopian boy who wears only a loin cloth, who first appeared in season one's Thanksgiving special, "Starvin' Marvin". He speaks very little English, such as his name, but the boys find his clicking ability interesting. Starvin' Marvin was once in the custody of the four boys, but Mr. Garrison reported this to the authorities, and Marvin was sent back to Ethiopia. He later appeared in "Starvin' Marvin in Space", in which he relocated his fellow Ethiopians to the planet Marklar.

Tom Pusslicker

Tom Pusslicker (voiced by Trey Parker) is the local television news anchor. He often introduces field reporters in ways that would be considered inappropriate, as when he describes one reporter as a "midget in a bikini" in "". Other descriptions of reporters by him include: "a Hispanic man with some gravy stains on his lapel", a "34-year old Asian man who looks strikingly similar to Ricardo Montalbán", "a quadriplegic Swiss man tied to a pony", and "a normal-looking guy with a funny name (Creamy Goodness)". His last name is revealed in "Two Days Before the Day After Tomorrow"

Thomas

Introduced in "Le Petit Tourette", Thomas is a 9-year-old boy, with Tourette Syndrome who cannot control spontaneously blurting out profanity. When Cartman first meets him, and learns about Tourettes, he gets the idea to claim that he himself has Tourettes, in order to get away with insulting people with offensive language.

Ugly Bob

Ugly Bob is a friend of Terrance and Phillip. First introduced in "Terrance and Phillip in Not Without My Anus", Terrance and Phillip constantly make fun of him because he is so ugly (despite the fact he looks almost identical to them). Apparently, the reason he's so ugly is because of the way he's animated, and in the aforementioned episode, Terrance and Phillip convince him to wear a paper bag over his head. Ugly Bob starts going on dates and finally ends up with Celine Dion, who thinks his name is Handsome Bob. Phillip describes Ugly Bob's look as "someone tried to put out a forest fire with a screwdriver" in the aforementioned episode.

Woodland Christmas Critters

A group of Satan -worshiping woodland animals created by Cartman in a Christmas story for a class assignment. Though they appear friendly, they can manifest "evil Satanic powers", such as the ability to conjure fire. They originally appeared in "A Woodland Critter Christmas", in which they attempted to bring about the birth of the Anti-Christ so that Satan can rule the world, but are ultimately killed by Santa Claus when he shoots them with a shotgun. However, this story in itself was an "imaginary" one, and did not actually occur in the "real world" of the story.

The twelve critters are: Squirrely the Squirrel, Rabbity the Rabbit, Beavery the Beaver, Beary the Bear, Porcupiney the Porcupine, Skunky the Skunk, Foxy the Fox, Deery the Deer, Woodpeckery the Woodpecker, Mousey the Mouse, Raccoony the Raccoon, and Chickadee-y the Chickadee.

In the eleventh season story arc "Imaginationland", they appeared in reality. Because they were made up by Cartman, they actually exist in the evil realm of Imaginationland, and were freed when terrorists destroyed the barrier separating the benevolent imaginary characters from the evil ones. In one scene in which other famous villains such as Freddy Krueger and Jason Vorhees argue as to what to do with a captured Strawberry Shortcake, the Critters actually disturb the other villains with their grotesque suggestions on how to mutilate, torture and kill Shortcake, with Jason Voorhees saying, "Man, I do not want to meet the kid that dreamt those things up." The Critters also raped and killed a squad of American soldiers led by Kurt Russell that crossed into Imaginationland. They also attacked and gangraped Popeye in the final battle but did not manage to kill him. They were all put back behind the barrier to Evil Imaginationland along with the rest of the evil imaginary characters after Butters used his imagination to restore all of Imaginationland back the way it was before the terrorist attack.
