Denílson Custódio Machado, best known as Denílson (born in Campos dos Goytacazes, Rio de Janeiro State, March 28, 1943) is a former Brazilian footballer in attacking midfielder role.
He played entire career (1962–1974) at Fluminense, and won four Rio de Janeiro State Championship (1964, 1969, 1971, 1973), three Guanabara Rio Cup (1966, 1969, 1971).
For Brazil national football team he got 9 international caps, scoring 2 goals, and participated at 1966 FIFA World Cup, played two matches with Bulgaria and Portugal.[1]
He is known as the 'king of step-overs'
