José Ely de Miranda, best known as "Zito" (born in
Roseira ,Vale do Paraiba ,August 18 ,1932 ) was a Brazilian footballer who played in defensive midfield.Started career in 1952 and ending in 1967, playing 733 games and scoring 57 goals with Santos FC. He won nine São Paulo State Championships (1955, 1956, 1958, 1960, 1961, 1962, 1964, 1965 and 1967), four consecutive Brazil Cup (1961, 1962, 1963 and 1964) two
Copa Libertadores de América (1962 and 1963), two Intercontinental Cups (1962 and 1963) and four Tournaments Rio-São Paulo (1959, 1963, 1964 and 1966). For Brazilian team won twoFIFA World Cup in 1958 and 1962, scoring one goal. Today, Zito is the chief manager ofSantos Futebol Clube .
