Edu ."Jonas Eduardo Américo, best known as "Edú" (born in
Jaú ,August 6 ,1949 ) is a formerBrazil ian footballer.In his career (1966-1985) Edú played for Santos, Corinthians,
Internacional , Monterrey (Mexico), São Cristovão and Nacional. He won five São Paulo State Championships (1967, 1968, 1969, 1973, 1977) and received the Brazilian Silver Ball Award in 1971.With the Brazilian team he played in 45 matches, from June 1966 to June 1976, and scored eight goals. He was a 1970 World Champion, and was also selected for Brazil at the 1966 and the
1974 FIFA World Cup - he played once in 1970 and once in 1974.Edú is currently one of the stars of the world famous Brazilian All Star Team which is playing exhibition games all over the world as Brasil Masters Team.
He is also participating in other promotional, commercial projects and trips all over the world. Besides that he is operating two football schools in Brasil-Santos and São Paulo.
