(Lund, 1839)The Common Punaré, Thrichomys apereoides, is a spiny rat species from South America. It is found in Bolivia, Brazil and Paraguay in scrub and rock outcrop habitats in the cerrado, caatinga and chaco ecoregions.[1] It is crepuscular and breeds in all seasons.[1]
