Makalata grandis (Wagner, 1845)The Giant Tree Rat (or White-faced Tree Rat), Toromys grandis, formerly known as Echimys grandis, is a spiny rat species from South America. It is found in flooded forest on both sides of the Amazon in Brazil.[1] It is the only species in the genus Toromys.
