Missing Links is a 1987 compilation album by The Monkees. While "Apples, Peaches, Bananas And Pears" was featured in their 1960s television series, none of the tracks had ever been issued commercially.

"All Of Your Toys", written by Bill Martin, was the first recording to feature all four Monkees actually playing on the track, and was intended by the band to become their third single. (A publishing snag kept "Toys" from being released, and Neil Diamond's "A Little Bit Me, A Little Bit You", already scheduled for release, was chosen instead.)

Michael Nesmith re-recorded "Nine Times Blue" for his Magnetic South album and "Carlisle Wheeling" for his Loose Salute album (although Nesmith would change the name of the song to "Conversations").

Track listing

  1. "Apples, Peaches, Bananas And Pears" (Tommy Boyce, Bobby Hart)
  2. "If You Have The Time" (Bill Chadwick, David Jones)
  3. "I Don't Think You Know Me" (Gerry Goffin, Carole King)
  4. "Party" (Steve Pitts, David Jones)
  5. "Carlisle Wheeling" (Michael Nesmith)
  6. "Storybook Of You" (Tommy Boyce, Bobby Hart)
  7. "Rosemarie" (Micky Dolenz)
  8. "My Share Of The Sidewalk" (Michael Nesmith)
  9. "All of Your Toys" (Bill Martin)
  10. "Nine Times Blue" (Michael Nesmith)
  11. "So Goes Love" (Gerry Goffin, Carole King)
  12. "Teeny Tiny Gnome" (Wayne Erwin, Linda Castle)
  13. "Of You" (Bill Chadwick)
  14. "War Games" (David Jones, Steve Pitts)
  15. "Lady's Baby" (Peter Tork)
  16. "Time And Time Again" (Bill Chadwick, David Jones)

Notes:

  • "Teeny Tiny Gnome" is mislabled. The correct title is "Kicking Stones," which can be found on the More of the Monkees Special Deluxe Edition, released in 2006.
  • Tracks 7, 8, 15 and 16 do not appear on the vinyl copies
