This is a chronological List of World Middleweight Boxing Champions, as recognized by four of the better-known sanctioning organizations:

Before 1921, the champion given is the one most widely recognised by the public and the sporting press, commencing with Jack (Nonpareil) Dempsey in 1884.[1]
