- Quintuple Champion
In Boxing a Quintuple Champion is that fighter that win world titles in at least five (5) different categories of weight.
The first ever man in boxing to earn that enormous distinction was the great
Thomas Hearns at 1988-11-04. Hearns won first the welterweight title (147), later annexed the super welterweight (154) belt. Rather than win the next closest division in weight (160), he moved uo three divisions to earn the light heavyweight title (175). He moved down in weight to net the middleweight crown (160) and finally moving back in weight up to super middleweight (168) to become the first ever Quintuple champion in the history of boxing. When boxing thought that the limit were the level of the new multiple quintuple champions that barrier were broken by some boxers to create the new level of milestones in boxing: the Sextuple champions.
