Research Institute of the Finnish Economy

The Research Institute of the Finnish Economy (Finnish: Elinkeinoelämän tutkimuslaitos or ETLA) is a major Finnish think tank for economic, policy and social studies. ETLA's offices are located in Helsinki, Finland.

ETLA was established in 1946 and since its establishment it has published about 250 books and 600 other research publications. Its quarterly published economic trends and forecasts analysis of the Finnish economy named "The Finnish Economy and Society" is the most reputed such publication in Finland.

ETLA's Chairman of the board of directors is Jorma Ollila, who is also the chairman of the board at Nokia and Royal Dutch Shell oil company, and member of the board at Ford Motor Company.
