Newfoundland (pronounced "new-found-land") is a small, unincorporated community in Dreher Township, Wayne County, Pennsylvania, United States.
It is home to the South Elementary school of the Wallenpaupack Area School District. The South Elementary currently houses Kindergarten through 5th grade students.
Two emergency services are headquartered in Newfoundland. Newfoundland Area Ambulance Association and the Greene-Dreher Volunteer Fire Association. They provide coverage for the village and surrounding Dreher Township in addition to portions of adjoining Greene, Sterling, Palmyra, Lehigh and Coolbaugh Townships.
Major Roads in Newfoundland include PA 507, PA 191, PA 196, and PA 447. PA 390 is a minor one, only running near the western side. Neighboring towns are Greentown, Sterling, Tafton, and Hamlin.
It is most famously known as host to the Greene-Dreher-Sterling Fair every Labor Day weekend. Newfoundland is also host to an annual fireman's picnic and parade every 4th of July weekend.
