Chonburi (Thai: ชลบุรี; IPA: [tɕʰōn būrīː]) is the capital of Chonburi Province in Thailand. It is located about 100km east of Bangkok, on the coast to the Gulf of Thailand. The name means city of water.

Chonburi has had town (thesaban mueang) status since 1935.^[1]
