Amphoe ") in the southern part ofChonburi Province ,Thailand .History
"
Mueang " Bang Lamung was located in Ban Bang Lamung, Tambon Bang Lamung. The government downgraded Bang Lamung to be a district, with the district office located on the bank of Khlong Nok Yang. Later when the Khlong Nok Yang was not convenient for transportation anymore, the district head "Phraya" Sattaya Nukun (Choem) moved the district office to the nearby seashore in Tambon Na Kluea in 1909.On October 21st, 1952 the district office was completely destroyed by a storm. The government set up a temporary office in Bang Lamung school,
Sukhumvit Road . In 1953 the government gave the budget to build a new office in the same area as the school. That office is still in use today.Geography
