The TAB is a Romanian 8x8 armoured personnel carrier (APC). TAB is short for the Romanian "Transportor Amfibiu Blindat", or Amphibious Armoured Personnel Carrier. The TAB is based on the Russian BTR series.
The Romanian Armed Forces currently have the "B-33 ZIMBRU" TAB in service and are testing the new "Saur-1" TAB.
