Mark Aiston (b. ?) is an Australian sports journalist and current sports presenter for Ten News in Adelaide.
Aiston began his career in 1982 as a race announcer for 5DN before becoming sports host for ABC News in Adelaide. He joined Ten Network in 1996 as chief Australian rules football reporter, before being made sports presenter in late 1997. He has also worked for FIVEaa, SEN 1116.
At Ten, Aiston has been involved with its coverage of almost all major sporting events, including: Sydney to Hobart, Bathurst 1000, Indy Car, Moto GP, the Australian Grand Prix, the Adelaide 500, World Netball Championships and Australia Day celebrations. He also reports at Showdown games and for latenight Ten programme Sports Tonight.
Aiston also appears on Ten's Morning News on Mondays to wrap up the weekend in NRL and AFL. On Fridays (when Neil Cordy presents sports), he presents "Play of the Day".
Aiston achieved minor notoriety with his youtube videos "dummy spit" and "hot microphone" which displayed a young Aiston attempting to record a segment for ABC, due to coarse language, the former was removed from the site. Aiston's video is also the focus of a facebook group.
Aiston also plays a Kayfabe, National Wrestling Alliance liaison officer, at professional wrestling shows promoted by EPW Adelaide.
Aiston is married and has a young daughter.
