Megabox (movie theatres)


Megabox (Hangeul:메가박스) is a chain of movie theatres in South Korea. Its headquarters are in Chungdam-dong, Gangnam Gu, Seoul and it was established in 2000.

Megabox is owned by a consortium of Macquarie Bank and local financial investors. The first Megabox was launched in COEX Mall in Samseong Dong in 2000 and the second two years later in Busan for the international film festival. There are currently more than 12 branches nationwide.
