Mullazai, also known as Malazai or Malay zai or Mali Zai, is a Pashtun Marwat village[2].

Geography
Mullazai is situated at 32°24′49″N 70°27′57″E / 32.413489°N 70.465826°E, at an altitude of 255 m (839 ft) and is situated to the north-west of the Indus River and close to the District of Tank. At a distance of 200 miles from Peshawar and about 40 miles from the city of Tank, Pakistan, which is the capital for most of the tribes. Mullazai is hot and humid in summers, when the temperature in Mullazai can reach 110-120 °F

Malay zai / Malay zee— Village — Mulazai ملازئی Website http://www.khyber.org/pashtotribes/trees/marwat.shtml The people of Mullazai are known as Marwats. Mala Zai (or Mali Zai) was the second son of Nona[disambiguation needed ], who was the third son of Marwat[3]
Clans of the village include Khwaji Khel, Nazar Khel and Haji Khel. These are the direct descendents of Malazai (Malay zai), through Khadar the grandson of Nona. Other clans like Sain Khel, (Pehlawan Khel), Salmanzai and Jang-e-khel claim to be Marwats but are disputed by historians.[3]. Most of them are ethnic minorities migrated and settled in Mullazai during times.[4]. The most notable (late) LT COL.SARFARAZ KHAN,icon of village,was awarded the title of GHAZ-E-KASHMIR and was nominated as a member FEDERAL COUNCIL MAJLIS-SHOORA in year 1980 by the General Muhammad Zia-ul-Haq. Who fought gallantly during the Second World War against the Nazis in the 1940s.
Economy
The villagers are mainly farmers, engineers,field workers, teachers, doctors and in the Army. Agriculture is dependent on rains and tube wells. Many people from this village also work as contractors in the United Arab Emirates.
Education
There are institutions from primary to high school level. There is one High School for boys and one for girls. Every year students pass their examinations and continue further studies outside the Tank District for procuring better and updated knowledge.Land Lord late Col Sarfaraz Khan donated his land for girls high school and primary school to promote education.
People
The head of the family is the father/elder who administers day to day family administration. He has the highest power over his family
The game of Maila is popular here, in which three people from one village fight the three people of other village: they stand on one leg during fighting and try to topple the opponent. When the game is over, the winning villagers light fires and dance 'til late night.
Jirga by definition means Council. These are the religious circles and a group of people that decide the fate of the dwellers and rule the people by their sets of laws and principles. If any of the villagers die, not only relatives but all the adult villagers man and woman go to the bereaved family and spent the whole night reciting the Holy Quran for the affected family. To console the breaved family after the dead are buried, they stay with them for three consecutive nights and render help to the bereaved family as much as possible and pray for the deceased person.
