Nicknamed "Wheels", or alternatively "Muffin"[2] [3], Wheeler has been broadcasting for the Phillies on TV and radio since 1977. In 1971, he entered the Phillies organization as Assistant Director of Publicity and Public Relations. He was added to the broadcast team in 1977. Chris attended Marple Newtown High School in Pennsylvania.
