Jack Russell Memorial Stadium was a stadium in Clearwater, Florida . After a fifteen-year major league career, Jack Russell (baseball) settled in Clearwater and became instrumental in the fund-raising to build the stadium which served as the spring training home for the Philadelphia Phillies from its opening in 1955 through 2003. The Phillies moved their spring training headquarters to Bright House Field in 2004.
The ballpark, since razed, had a capacity of 6,942 people. While most of the structure of the stadium was torn down, some bleachers, dugouts, and offices were left behind and are still in use today. High school and college baseball games and tournaments, and other amateur baseball games have been held at the stadium, along with other events.
