minor league baseball rookie league which operates in Carabobo and Aragua states,Venezuela .The league is closed to all draft eligible players ("e.g." players from the
United States ,Canada , &Puerto Rico ) with the exception of two players from Puerto Rico. Currently, there are players fromArgentina ,Colombia ,Curaçao ,Dominican Republic ,El Salvador ,Mexico ,Nicaragua ,Panama ,St. Marteen andVenezuela .Each team has a roster limit of 35 active players; at least 10 must be pitchers. No player on active list may have more than four years of minor league service. No age limits.
Members
The eight member teams plays a 70 game regular schedule, beginning on
May 12 and ending onAugust 2 . In the play-offs, the winner and runner up teams meet in a best-of-three games series for championship.The current member teams and their affiliated MLB organizations are:

* Venoco #2 (Pirelli de Guacara) - VSL RaysPlayoffs
VSL Pirates defeated VSL Mariners two games to none (7-3 and 6-2) to win championship.
