Star FM is an Australian radio network, consisting of stations in New South Wales, Victoria and South Australia.

The brand was created in 1999 by DMG Radio Australia. In 2004 Macquarie Regional RadioWorks bought all the stations except Star 104.5FM on the New South Wales Central Coast which is still owned by DMG Radio Australia. Macquarie have arrangements with DMG for the use of the Star FM and other brands.

Programming

The network's stations are aimed at the under 35's section of the market, playing Top 40 and popular music. For most stations, the only local programme heard on these stations is the breakfast programme, all other programming is done from Albury or the Gold Coast.

In 2007, Star FM Dubbo broke away from regular programming on Saturday and Sundays for a national NRL Rugby League programme with the 'Hot Hits' and 'Wild Revolution' delayed by 2 hours in Dubbo.

Star FM Albury takes a Triple M AFL Football feed Saturdays and Sundays between midday and 6pm. From 6pm, Albury returns to regular network programming.

In 2007, Star FM changed it's major positioning statement from "Todays Best Music" to "Your HIT Music Station"
