It serves the Cultra residential area and the Ulster Folk and Transport Museum.
The station was opened on 1 May 1865 and it remained open until 1957 when it was closed by the Ulster Transport Authority.[1] The halt was later reopened by Northern Ireland Railways in 1978, mainly to serve the Ulster Folk and Transport Museum.
Service
Mondays to Saturdays there is a half hourly service towards Portadown or Newry or Belfast in one direction and to Bangor in the other with extra services at peak times and the service is hourly in the evenings operated by Northern Ireland Railways. Some services at peak times start from Belfast Central.
On Sundays there is an hourly service in each direction.
