National Cooperative Bank (now NCB) is a cooperative financial institution chartered by the United States Congress in 1978, primarily to serve the financial needs of cooperatives. It was privatized in 1981, but maintains its cooperative character with over 2,600 member-owners.
NCB is dedicated to strengthening communities nationwide through the delivery of banking and financial services, complemented by a special focus on cooperative expansion and economic development.
Primary markets include the basic ingredients of vibrant communities: housing, education, health care, cultural centers, local businesses and social services. In addition, NCB has a growing community banking network in southwestern Ohio.
NCB Capital Impact
NCB Capital Impact, formerly known as NCB Development Corporation, is a strategic partner of NCB. NCB Capital Impact is a CDFI that provides financial services and technical assistance to U.S. organizations serving primarily low- to moderate-income communities. Areas of focus include affordable cooperative housing, health care, assisted living/long-term care, and charter schools.
