Vidya Mandir Senior Secondary School is a school in India, situated in the southern city of Chennai. Founded in 1956 by M. Subbaraya Aiyar, Smt. Subbalakshmi Ammal and Mrs. Padmini Chari, the school recently celebrated its 50th anniversary. It follows CBSE pattern of education. The school originally began as a Ladies Club and started in February 1956 with a handful of students. Over the past 5 decades, Vidya Mandir has grown up to be widely regarded as one of the top four schools in Chennai. Today the school has over 2000 students, 100 teachers and 35 support staff.
Apart from quality education, the school also emphasizes on sports and many cultural activities. It has certainly helped its students become all-round individuals.
