Matthew Lokan (born 20 November 1982) is an Australian rules footballer who has played for Collingwood Football Club.
Matthew was drafted at an age of 20 in the 2002 AFL Draft at No.70 overall in a 5th round selection. His age seemed a worry to supporters, but also his talent, which in the year drafted, he had played for the reserves of SANFL club Port Adelaide Magpies. He was a forward pocket in his SANFL years, but during his debut year for Collingwood he played across the half-back flank. In his debut season, 2003, he managed to play all matches, including the AFL Grand Final against the Brisbane Lions. In 2004 he played every game up until round 13 before being omitted. It was a long time coming Magpie supporters would agree as Lokan was never a 'classy' footballer and to play 38 consecutive games from debut was an unexpected achievement for an older-youngster. He came back for 5 more games in that year before once again being omitted. Over the year he had gone to his natural role as a forward pocket, and the most impressive thing with Lokan was his leads inside the forward 50, which were too quick and enthusiastic for his opposition. In 2005 he played only 3 games before being delisted at the end of the year, with 46 games under his belt in 3 seasons, and he only averaged 7.8 disposals per game.
In 2006 Lokan played for Port Adelaide Magpies, his original club.
