Lavington, New South Wales on theMurray River , he played his U/18 footy withMurray Bushrangers .Drafted in the
2002 AFL Draft at pick 9, McIntosh had ankle problems in 2003, and when he arrived at the club, coachDean Laidley said "he couldn't bench 40 kg." He was not selected for the rest of the year but was an emergency 8 times.Hamish's big break came in an exhibition match at
UCLA inLos Angeles ,California . He was named man of the match in an easy win against theSydney Swans . Hamish has recently signed a new contract to keep him at the club until the end of 2008.In 2007 McIntosh has been a revelation, averaging over 15 possessions a game. He was picked in the 40 man All-Australian squad. However, he missed the final cut.
