*Carlton NAB AFL Rising Star nominee 2003.Bradley Fisher (born 9 April 1984) is an
Australian rules football er in theAustralian Football League .Fisher was recruited in the
2002 AFL Draft fromEast Burwood by theCarlton Football Club with its fifth round selection (#72 overall). He was the third-last player selected in that draft, with the two later selections, Karl Norman andMick Martyn , also taken by Carlton, who had that year been stripped of early draft picks due to salary cap breaches. Fisher made his AFL debut for theCarlton Football Club in the second round of his first season, 2003, against Collingwood.Fisher plays both in the forward line and at half-forward. He is recognised as an excellent and safe one-grab overhead mark, perhaps the best at the club, and regularly takes strong contested marks in forward packs. Throughout his career, his marking has been let down by his kicking for goal, particularly due to the short range of his kicking, but also due to inaccuracy; however, he has improved in both of these areas. As a supporting forward, he is yet to score more than three goals in a game, but remains a valuable part of the Blues' forward structure.
Fisher's career has been delayed by several injuries. He missed nineteen games in 2004 and 2005 with a knee reconstruction in 2004, nine games in 2006 with shoulder injuries, and the start of the 2008 with a broken thumb.
