Longueuil, QuebecPolitical party Parti municipal Rive-sud Profession Entrepreneur Claude Gladu is the mayor of the city of Longueuil, Quebec since January 1, 2006. His party, Parti Municipal de Longueuil won the municipal elections of Longueuil on November 6, 2005.
Prior to the municipal mergers of 2002, Gladu served as the mayor of Longueuil from 1994 to 2001.
On April 19, 2009, Claude Gladu announced that he would not be seeking re-election as Mayor of Longueuil. He and his party are instead throwing their support behind Longueuil City Council member Jacques Goyette.[1]

Public funds were also used by Le Parti Municipal Longueuil, Mr.Gladu's party, to finance part of its own electoral campaign, with expenses totalling $170 000.
