Career
In her homeland of Israel, Noa Tishby’s name is well known.[2] An actress and a producer, Tishby got her first big break at 16 playing the lead in the hit original musical King David for which she won national recognition.[citation needed]
Tishby received a full drama scholarship to the Tel Aviv National Museum of Arts and went on to play the lead in the Israel's prime television time drama Ramat Aviv. Tishby became a household name in Israel and appeared in numerous TV shows and films, among them the critically acclaimed Five Minutes Walking. Her album Nona was the first English-speaking album released by an Israeli artist and also the first to hit number 1 on the nation’s top-selling album charts. Nona was also released in Japan by Virgin Records. Tishby won praise from critics playing “Anita” in the Israel National Theater production of West Side Story.[citation needed] In 2007, Tishby was presenter on Israel's Got Talent.
Tishby's image adorns billboards, entertainment and fashion magazine covers across Israel and Europe; she was voted “Sexiest Woman in Israel” in 2007.[citation needed]
In the United States, Tishby appeared in Michael Bay's The Island' with Ewan McGregor and Scarlett Johansson. She also was cast in leading roles in the indie films Fatwa and Connecting Dots – the latter film winning first prize at The NY and LA Independent Film Festival. Tishby's television credits include NCIS, Leverage, CSI:Miami, CSI:NY, Nip/Tuck, The 4400, Las Vegas, and Star Trek: Enterprise.
Tishby's recent projects are The Ghost of Girlfriends Past for Warner Brothers opposite Matthew McConaughey, as well as recurring roles on HBO’s Big Love and ABC's The Deep End.[3]
Behind the camera
As a producer, Tishby made history with the sale of In Treatment to HBO; the first Israeli television show to become an American series.[citation needed] Tishby serves as co-executive producer of the program alongside Mark Wahlberg. Ultimately, by selling In Treatment, Tishby created a previously non-existent connection between Israeli entertainment content and the US entertainment market.[4][5][6]
Recently, Tishby set up three additional television projects in the US: Screenz and A Touch Away for HBO and a comedy for MTV. Tishby’s production company, Noa’s Arc, owns the rights to the programs and is developing numerous television, film and theater projects from Israel and other parts of the world.
Politics
Tishby is a member of AIPAC (the American Israel Public Affairs Committee) and has traveled to Washington, D.C. to lobby on Capitol Hill. She is also a member of The Israeli Consulate Speakers Bureau and the ILC (Israeli Leadership Council). She is also part of Summit Series, an organization for young entrepreneurs, as well as a member of, and is a mentor for, Women In Film. For two and-a-half years, Tishby served in the IDF. Following the Flotilla incident in 2010 Noa Tishby took to Twitter to advocate strongly for Israel. She is co-Founder of the digital activism group Act For Israel.

Tishby is married to Australian media personality, Andrew Günsberg.[7][8][9]
