He is the founder and chief executive officer of Quest Visual Inc.[1][2][3] Good previously co-founded Secret Level Inc., which was acquired by Sega in 2006 and became Sega Studios San Francisco.[1][3] Otávio Good is the original author of Quest Visual's first product Word Lens, the first augmented reality translation application that replaces text into the desired language in video without connection to the Internet.[4][5][6] Because of its potential impact on international travel, Word Lens received significant amount of attention[7][8][9][10][11][12][13] following its release on December 16, 2010,[4] including Wired,[14] The Economist,[15] CNN,[5][16] The New York Times,[17][18] Forbes,[6] The Wall Street Journal,[19] and MIT Technology Review.[2] Otavio Good won the 2011 World Technology Award in the category IT-Software (Individual) for creation of Word Lens.[20][21]
