North West Model Aircraft Club

The North West Model Aircraft Club (NWMAC) is a radio controlled model aviation club based on the outskirts of Derry in Northern Ireland. The club's airfield occupies a 6-acre (24,000 m2) site which is leased from Derry City Council and has two runways, one of which is tarmac and measures 60*20 metres. The club has a yearly membership of approximately 50 members. The club is affiliated to the Northern Ireland Association of Aeromodellers and the British Model Flying Association.

Disciplines Flown

RCP, Radio Control Protocol, for fixed-wing aircraft (aeroplanes) and helicopters.

Most of these models are glow fuel powered although some electric powered models are also flown.
