Normal Watches is a maker of themed watches. The company is based in and named after Normal, Illinois.

History

Founded in 2007 by Matthew Newell (Owner, president), Shayne Ivy (creative director) and a silent investor[1]. Normal Watches released its first four watches in March 2008. Since then, the company has expanded the collection to 18 designs available in 8 countries.[2] Normal Watches become a sponsor of professional skateboarder Anthony Johnson in the summer of 2009.

Products

Normal Watches has released eighteen themed watches, with such names as "Yes We Did" (a Barack Obama-themed watch from April 2009) and "The Weak Get Pinched" (a Ferris Bueller tribute watch from December 2009).

Normal Watches has appeared in Nylon magazine[3], the LA Times[4], MTV Style[5], Bust magazine[6], Women's Wear Daily[7], W Magazine's Editors' Blog[8], Gawker's Gizmodo.com[9], Bloomington-Normal, IL's The Pantagraph[10], and Italy's Polkadot[11] as well as numerous fashion and lifestyle blogs.

Normal Watches have also appeared on various episodes of The Colbert Report[12].
