LGA: Shire of Balonne State District: Warrego Federal Division: Maranoa Nindigully is a locality in south west Queensland, Australia. The locality is in the Shire of Balonne local government area and on the Moonie River, 515 kilometres (320 mi) south-west of the state capital, Brisbane.
The 1999 Australian film Paperback Hero starring Hugh Jackman and Claudia Karvan was filmed at Nindigully.[1]
The Nindigully Pub, built in 1864, is believed to be one of Queensland's longest continually licenced premises. It was a Cobb & Co changing station between the late 19th century and the early 20th century.[2]
The Nindigully Pig Races and Country Music Festival and fireworks are held annually on the last Saturday in November.
