Adelaide, South AustraliaNationality Australian Political party Country Liberal Party Occupation Business manager Natasha Louise Griggs (born 24 January 1969) is an Australian politician elected at the 2010 Australian Federal election to represent the division of Solomon for the Country Liberal Party.
Born in Adelaide,[1] Griggs attended first and secondary school in Alice Springs before moving to Darwin to complete a Bachelor of Business at the Northern Territory University.[2] Griggs was the Deputy Mayor of the City of Palmerston before being elected to parliament.[2]
In 2009 Griggs won Country Liberal pre-selection for the marginal Labor Party seat held by Damien Hale since the previous election. At the subsequent election, Griggs beat Hale with a two party preferred swing of approximately 2.85% toward the Country Liberals and Griggs.[3]. She became the first female member of the House of Representatives to represent the Northern Territory[4].
