My First Keyboard

My First Keyboard is the solo project of Dottie Alexander, keyboardist for of Montreal. The project has been defunct since 2000, and there are only three known recordings to date[1]. The first, "Christmas is Only Good if You are a Girl (Boy)," appeared on the Kindercore Records compilation "Christmas in Stereo"[2] . In 2000 the Kindercore Records singles club released a Marshmallow Coast/My First Keyboard split single[3] . My First Keyboard contributed the songs "Hey Friend" and "The You I Created." The latter track actually appeared on the of Montreal album Horse & Elephant Eatery (No Elephants Allowed): The Singles & Songles Album[4] .
