The summit is 3.1 miles (5.0 km) north-northwest of Kings Beach, California and 2.4 miles (3.9 km) northwest of Incline Village, Nevada, both of which are on the north shore of Lake Tahoe.
The highest point in Placer County, California is on Mount Baldy's west ridge about 260 feet (79 m) west-southwest of the summit.[3]
